In short

The MaaX V1 is a wired 2.5K indoor/outdoor camera with built-in storage, and the counts lean positive on value, reliability, and no surprise fees.

Good for

Anyone who wants a security camera without subscription costs and is fine running it on wired power at a porch, driveway, or backyard.

Watch for

Opinions are split on whether it beats expectations, and a sizable minority say it didn't quite do the job, so don't expect perfection.
